The Mercedes-AMG GT is not exactly your run of the mill vehicle; this impressive performance-oriented beast is one of the world’s most desirable supercars right now, but for some people that doesn’t seem like enough. We are, of course, talking about the car tuners from Lorinser, who went on to develop a new tuning program for this astonishing car.
According to the German tuning company, this “vigorous power upgrade” includes a new performance module that costs only $4,148 (€3,650) and enables the bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to output as much as 595 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque. The extra power will allow drivers to enjoy a 0 to 62 mph time of just 3.6 seconds, 0 to 124 mph in 10.1 seconds, and 0 to 186 mph in just 27.3 seconds.
There are also several styling changes worth mentioning, with the Mercedes-AMG GT now showing off a new set of 20″ RSK 8 alloys at the front and 21″ at the back. Available in black or gold, the three-piece forged wheels start off at $12,986 (€11,424) – sans rubber.
We wouldn’t drive this beast during the cold season though, except maybe on a dare; however, the company also offers a winter tire and wheel package, which consists of 19″ RS9 alloys wrapped around in all-season tires.
Considering that the Mercedes-AMG GT S, which costs at least $129,900, boasts a bi-turbo V8 good for around 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, we’re thinking Lorinser’s project will be a big hit for AMG GT owners.
