The specialists under the signature of Morris Yachts have surely proven themselves throughout the years as being among the best manufactures of boats in the Americas. They have recently lifted the veil off the brand new M46 Modern Classic at the 2013 Maine Boat Builders Show in Portland.
What’s special about this fabulous cruiser is that it encompasses technologies and innovations which you won’t find on a regular basis in boasts of this class. A cool combination of ultimate luxury, elegant teak decks, extremely beautiful looks, high performance and cozy accommodation, it was designed together with Sparkman & Stephens and actively contrasts with Morris’ M-Class through a longer waterline, a superbly traditional bow with additions that ensure more than cozy accommodation during long cruises and enhanced tumblehome. Additional premiers related to the M-Class are the fold-down transom steps which provide easy access from the cockpit to the water.
Considering the size of the brand new M46, the cabin arrangement is a particular one off. In fact, the gorgeous M46 comprises two separate cabins with ensuite heads and a large owner’s stateroom with separate shower areas alongside dramatic lighting sourced from the large flush-mounted hatches above heads.
The main saloon provides ample amounts of natural light and absolutely breathtaking panoramas from the 4-windowed cabin top and above hatches. As for the dinette, it is able to accommodate up to 6 hungry mouths, and can be further converted into a double-berth with additional means of sleeping. Heading towards the gallery, it is gorgeously shaped in the form of the letter U and provides enough state of the art amenities to make you feel rather special. Among these we’ll enumerate the microwave oven, gimbaled stove, huge counter space and refrigeration. The navigation station, in its entirety, doubles as an exquisite home office with integrated wireless networking system.
The M46 is sadly too small to be nominated as a superyacht, even though it is quite large – a perfect symbol for the American cruising comfort.
