Do you remember the Light Cycles in Tron: Legacy and the vehicles from Captain America? One of them has recently come to life, designed by Daniel Simon. Now he’s back with another masterpiece. The Detonator, how he calls it, is an electric motorcycle that uses a lithium-ion battery with autonomy of 80-100 miles for one hour of charging.
Though handling it is an art on its own, the bike can run at speeds of up to 120 mph (almost 200 km/h). The riding position isn’t the most efficient out there, there rider sitting way in the back of the vehicle and controlling a front end that rivals mount Everest in dimensions.
The reason for which Daniel Simon designed the bike is that he wanted extra-promotion for his futuristic vehicle design company, Cosmic Motors, and it’s currently produced by the creators of the real-life Light Cycles, Parker Brothers Choppers.
Simon himself calls the bike a “street cruiser bike built for humanoid droids”. Well, to put it like this: if you’re a humanoid droid that wants to spend $100,000 on something like it, go ahead – you may be a Detonator owner.
