Alongside the astonishing Regera, Koenigsegg has taken the wraps off another very impressive supercar, called the Agera RS.
The new model comes with a new track-optimized front splitter, front winglets, side skirts, advanced dynamic underbody flap system, and a dynamically active rear spoiler, as well as improved side air outlets behind the front wheels, which increase the downforce at 250 km/h (155 mph) by up to 450 kg. There’s also the option to fit the car with new front hood vents, and an active front venture flap system under the front splitter (reminiscent to the one found on the One:1), in addition to an active ride height and shock absorber system.
The vehicle is powered by the same 5.0-liter V8 engine we’ve seen on the Regera, but with some modification, which now churns out 1,160 bhp (866 kW) and has a higher rev limit. For an even higher power output, the RS can be equipped to run on E85 with flex fuel capabilities, but only in a few select markets.
Though obviously intended mostly for the track, the Koenigsegg Agera RS can also be registered for road use around the world, since it complies with the latest safety standards and other necessary requirements. Even before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, 10 units have already been sold, the first from a limited run of just 25 cars ever to be manufactured.
