Since moving to the Los Angeles Pacific Palisades (where he lives near his childhood friend, Ben Affleck), Matt Damon has found little use for his Florida mansion, which is currently awaiting its new owner.

The sumptuous home was purchased by the movie star after marrying Argentine-born Luciana Bozán Barroso in 2005, whom he had met 2 years prior in Miami while she was working as a bartender. The property, located on the relatively secluded La Gorce Island (part of Miami Beach), cost $14.5 million and included a 1935 Mediterranean-style house which was subsequently renovated according to the couple’s wishes.

The home’s 12,750 square-foot interior comprises seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a home theater, and an office space. The estate also boasts 170 feet of water frontage on Biscayne Bay, with a boat dock, as well as excellent views of downtown Miami. Neighbors include the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Calvin Klein, and Alex Rodriquez.

Initially priced at $20 million, Matt Damon’s luxurious Florida property failed to find a buyer for quite some time (surprisingly, we might add), and is now available for “just” $15.4 million.
