Chevrolet also took part in the Geneva madness and surprised us all by unveiling the striking 2017 Corvette Grand Sport. With a Z06-inspired grille and wider rear fenders, this special edition of the new Corvette has been equipped with unique 19- and 20-inch alloys, covered by high performance Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber.
Under the sleek exterior, this Corvette Grand Sport hides even more interesting mods, such as a high-performance Brembo braking system, magnetic ride control, and a retuned suspension system, including sport springs and new stabilizer bars. The sportscar also benefits from an electronic limited-slip rear differential, to make things more fun.
Under the hood you’ll find a powerful 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine, developing 460 hp, mated to a seven-speed manual transmission, but you could also get this ride with an eight-speed automatic . If you’re into some extreme thrills, which any Corvette fan is into, you’ll will be glad to know that a Z07 performance package is also available, upon request.
This bespoke package includes an eye catching carbon fiber body-kit, carbon-ceramic brakes, and Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires. You’d be also able to go for a Grand Sport Collector Edition and enjoy an exclusive Watkins Glen Gray Metallic exterior, with Tension Blue graphics, satin black body stripes, and black finish alloys.
The interior isn’t half bad, either, considering the Tension Blue leather and suede upholstery and the 3d embroidery. Be it coupe or convertible, the Corvette Grand Sport will be available starting this summer.
