The house of Krug will tease your pallets with their rarest vintage yet, coming to you from a .68 acres walled plot of Pinot Noir grapes, located in a charming northeastern French village called Ambonnay.
That’s why this exquisite champagne from Krug has been called Clos D’Ambonnay 2000, being only the fourth vintage coming from this place, with the previous champagnes released begin 1995, 1996 and 1998.
The decision to create this lovely 2000 vintage was based on the beautiful and healthy grapes from this tiny plot. According to Krug, the tasting notes of this new champagne suggest crème pâtissière flavours, with touches of caramel followed by a slight lemony finish.
Produced in a limited run of just 5,158 bottles, the Krug’s Clos D’Ambonnay 2000 Pinot Noir will come with an individual number on each bottle and a special Krug ID, that will allow customers to discover interesting information about their particular bottle, through Krug’s official app.
