Another timepiece we’re eager to feature – Romain Jerome’s DeLorean DNA wristwatch – is one hell of a stunner. Each piece in Romain Jerome’s DNA collection is a celebration of a fabled event, movie or even human-manufactured items. This particular version was created by Romain Jerome in tight collaboration with specialists from DeLorean Motor Company.
The DeLorean DNA timepiece boasts with a brushed stainless steel case, plus an entire plethora of substances and materials used to manufacture the fabled DeLorean car. The dial of this DNA piece has been garnished with the typical Romain Jerome “cross-strut traverses picking up the iconic X-shaped design”. The strapping has been upholstered with leather and bears anthracite grey stitching, similar to the stitching inside the DeLorean.
Some of the features that link the piece to the car are the ring which surrounds the minute counter located at 3 o’clock reminds of DeLorean’s rims, the medallion engraved with a DeLorean on the caseback and the miniature small seconds dial which resembles the vehicle’s taillights.
Just a few pieces will be manufactured, though, the series being limited to just 81 pieces. The price tag hasn’t yet been disclosed.
