Swiss luxury watchmaker Raymond Weil is the Official Watch & timing Partner at the BRIT Awards, the UK’s most prestigious music awards ceremony. The two parties have just announced an extension of their partnership, which is set to continue until at least 2016.
The company has designed a special edition collection featuring a unique celebratory BRIT Awards Nabucco automatic chronograph. The 85 pieces will be presented to nominees, presenters and performers backstage at the show, which will take place this year at The O2 Arena, in London, on February 19. A limited number of timepieces will be available for the retail market.
Both parties have said to be very pleased with the continued partnership, with Elie Bernheim, Raymond Weil’s director, underscoring the similarities between music and watchmaking, where inspiration and precision are both extremely important, while also stressing the importance the partnership has had in the company’s success. Maggie Crow, BPI director, has expressed her delight at the extension of the Awards` association with the prestigious brand.
