Next year we’re going to have one more exquisite vessel cruising worldwide waters, an extraordinary opulent cruiser named Royal Princess. The manufacturers of the ship are Princess Cruises, who revealed some details regarding the big jewel. It is said the cruiser will be weighing around 141,000 tons and will be able to accommodate 3,600 passengers throughout its decks.

This makes her a bit larger than the major debuts of 2011, the Disney Dream, Celebrity Silhouette and Carnival Magic. A big difference between this ship and the others crafted by Princess Cruises is the atrium, which is said to be 50% larger than the others’.

It features a street-café style open space with backlit floors, venues that seem to levitate, glass staircases, overall an “evolution” of what atrium basically means. Furthermore, besides the already present outlets, Royal Princess will boast a luxury gift shop and a new ice cream outlet, for those that wish to celebrate major events on board.

Another brand new addition will be a seafood bar where guests can enjoy caviar, ceviche, sashimi and sushi, plus a cocktail bar named Bellini’s. Outdoors, a new glass-bottomed walkway will be placed as an extension over 28 feet (8.5 meters) from the vessel’s edge, on which guests can wander.

The top deck will include a pool built exclusively for adults, plus additional pools that surround an island-like spot, where guests can sunbathe during the day and party in a nightclub-like atmosphere in the evenings.

The makers confirmed that the Royal Princess will be making its maiden voyage over the Mediterranean, while the first preview cruise of this superbly gorgeous ship is due to departure during June.
