Coming right from Switzerland, this interesting timepiece has been manufactured by the fabled brand of Piaget. Planning to participate at the 2013 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, Piaget has recently come up with the world’s thinnest movement of its kind, a minute repeater movement caliber 1290P.
Long time inventors and innovators, the specialists at Piaget have designed this stunning piece. Furthermore, besides the record smashing movement, this timepiece also includes a new, unique feature, which replaces the dial – a skeletal view of the intricate movement, with nicely manufactured hour markers, crafted from rose gold.
The caseback provides the wearer with a nice look over the gold micro-rotor of the automatically-wound movement system. The 48 mm case of the Piaget Emperador Coussin XL Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater, as it was dubbed, is manufactured from 18-carat rose gold, just like the hands. The total width of the watch is a whopping 9.4 mm.
