Right in the superb Maldives, which we’ve been featuring quite often among our pages, another resort caught our eye. We’re talking about the luxurious Niyama Retreat, a spot where romance and tranquility embrace themselves, creating a dream-like atmosphere.

Besides these, fun is one thing they’re tending to with extreme focus, ensuring a great time for everyone who spends a few nights at the location. Its situation, in the southwestern Atoll of Dhaalu, over the islands of Olhuveli and Embudhufushi, the resort is easily accessible, through a short seaplane flight from the airport in Male.

In total, 86 studios and pavilions have been introduced for the first time, here, a plethora of places to rest. The studios boast their own outdoor bathrooms, hidden beach views and vast deck areas. The deluxe studios, on the other hand, feature fiber optic lit pools, while the beach pavilions are endowed with all-day-long butler service, exquisite beach access and private pools. The last for not the least, the beach residence provides enormous living areas and secluded dining alcoves.

For those who truly enjoy water, there are also deluxe water studios and expansive water studios. They both sport breathtaking views off the Indian Ocean, large living areas, state of the art entertainment systems and private pools. We’re not done yet, because the resort also features water pavilions, decked with private Thakurus, available with two or even one bedroom. They too have their own private pools.

Niyama’s signature restaurant and lounge boast a superb location, half a kilometer offshore. They almost seem to float above the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, accessible by boat. The world’s first underwater club is also available, eight meters below the sea level. Tourists will not enjoy this place just for its services and locations, but for the gastronomic adventures provided as well.

There are a few spots that will make you eyes water, like the Tribal, a spot offering a modern day campsite-design, providing culinary influences from south and east Africa, South America, Asia and the Middle East, the Fahrenheit, viewing the unique Maldivian sunset from the rooftop, while enjoying a glass of exquisite wine and the Epicure, a perfect spot for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, providing take-away foods from international menus.

Unique in the Maldives is the 24-hour Lime Spa, where employees can’t wait to apply one-of-a-kind treatments to guests. They are greeted with indigenous holistic-based infuses and treatments, or from all over the world. The services here also include the Quench, a gorgeous juice bar, and a private contemplation garden. These spots are simply built to make the guests feel like absolute gods.

Whether you’re a simple man/woman that just needs a bit of relaxation and tranquility, this is quite a good choice for you. Furthermore, it works perfectly for those young men that can’t wait to propose.
