Maserati’s newest baby, a new version of the Maserati GranCabrio, was revealed a couple of days before its official unveiling which was supposed to happen at the Paris Motor Show in just a couple of days. Named the Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale, it is based on the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, putting together the sports and base Maserati 4-seater convertible models.
Sadly though, only these pictures you can see here have been disclosed so far, without any info regarding performance figures. If the model will feature the same upgraded engine as the GranTurismo, it’ll be a more powerful version of the 4.7-liter V8 engine delivering 444 HP (331 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft). These are only assumptions though.
In addition, significant facts are that the MC Stradale is also 110 kg (242 lbs) lighter as Coupe than the Sport version, alongside stiffer suspension settings and faster gear changes thanks to the MC Race Shift electro-actuated transmission.
As for the exterior, it sports restyled rear and front bumpers, quite evident in the images, a deep rear diffuser with twin tailpipes, new alloy wheels, new boot lid spoiler and sleek hood air scoops.
