Polished Audi R8

If you ask us, the first generation of the Audi R8 could’ve stayed in production longer. The design of this supercar was stylish and aggressive in the same time, and to us, it looked even better than its successor. That’s exactly why the German tuner MTM has decided to work on this beauty, updating its looks and specs for customers who want to stand out.

Based on the V10 model, this chromed R8 is what people would call a ‘monster’; it features a new engine and various other modifications. According to MTM, this unique ride is street-legal and, with carbon-fiber seats wrapped in Magnolia-red leather, forged alloys and a reinforced 6-Speed Transmission, the 802 ponies under the bonnet will surely turn a few heads.

MTM replaced the impressive 5.2-liter V10 unit with an even more powerful twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter engine, sourced from the RS6 C6 generation. As a result, this Audi R8 will max out at 350 km/h and do 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 heart-stopping seconds; 0 to 200 km/h will be dealt with in 9.37 seconds and 0 to 300 km/h in 19.42 seconds.

I gather the €500,000 ($568,975) price-tag will scare most of us off but let’s just focus on that polished body. MTM completely stripped every part of the body and polished it, a process that took over 700 hours of work of the team’s time. No wraps here, it’s all bare metal and it looks absolutely amazing!

The chromed look makes you forget about the other visual upgrades, such as the widened sills, an adjustable rear spoiler, and a new front spoiler lip. It’s a marvelous supercar, isn’t it?
