The Montpelier Plantation & Beach Hotel is a Splendid Romantic Destination

We’ve recently showcased the newest resort to open on Nevis Island, but that particular corner of the Caribbean has quite a few establishments with a bit of history as well. One of them is the Montpelier Plantation & Beach hotel.

Frequently mentioned as one the top travel destinations in the region, this excellent retreat is particularly noted as a highly romantic spot. This is due in large part to its stunning location: overlooking the sea from the foothills of Nevis Peak, and surrounded by 60 acres of lush tropical gardens, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful setting. The fact that the hotel is built around an old 18th century sugar plantation gives it an extra note of historical charm, making it even more alluring.

Guests can choose from 19 rooms and suites, each with its own private veranda. The relatively low number of rooms and the hotel’s somewhat secluded nature make the place ideal for those who simply want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings – and each other’s company. Add to this a great spa, a handful of fine restaurants where you can sample a selection of excellent wines and rums, and a peaceful and pristine private beach located just a few miles away, and you have yourself a truly amazing retreat, one of the very best romantic destinations of the Caribbean.
