The car tuning firm DMC has recently released a brand new upgrade program for the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible. Last year they’ve also put together an upgrade package for the normal GranTurismo but this one looks even better.
Dubbed as the Maserati GranTurismo Sovrano Convertible, they’ve redesigned the front bumper and added a new spoiler lip for the car to generate more downforce. In addition, the wide side skirts now come with zigzag end panels, while the hood features extra outlets and inlets.
They have done some rework to the car’s rear as well, on the trunk spoiler and the diffuser. We also need to mention that all the new parts added to the GranTurismo are crafted from carbon fiber. Furthermore, there has been some work done under the car as well, as it was fitted with 255/30 R20 rubbers at the front and 305/30 R21 at the rear, plus a sports suspension system which lowers the vehicle by up to 30 millimeters.
In terms of performance, the car has received a significant boost. Running on the same V8 4.7-liter engine, the convertible has been fitted with a supercharger which boosted the output to 590 HP (440 kW) at 7,300 RPM and 472 Nm (348 lb-ft) of torque at 5,400 RPM. This means an increase of 150 HP (112 kW) and 82 Nm (60 lb-ft) of torque.
