If you’re a yacht enthusiast you probably heard of the 1928 racing schooner that took part at the 1928 King’s Cup Trans-Atlantic Race, from New York to Santander, with a record breaking time. The superyacht Elena, our focus for today, was built back in 2009 and perfectly mimics the respective vessel.
The boat has been resurrected after sketches drawn by designer Nathaniel G. Herreshoff dating back to 1910. Factoria Naval de Marin has dealt with the entire process, thereby this 55-meter long luxury yacht has come to life. Don’t be fooled by its retro style. It packs quite a modern punch, in terms of state of the art appliances and endowments.
Among the additions that prove this, we need to mention high-tech television systems, Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations, all of them set in complete harmony with the classically decorated interiors, remains of past lives. It can offer accommodation for 10 guests inside its private en-suite staterooms, with trained crew members that will laboriously take care of every guest that gets onboard.
The Elena won’t disappoint any sailing fan, assisted by the two tenders that can help them explore the surroundings, and a whole suite of water toys to make your time worth it. This luxury superyacht is available within the West/East Mediterranean during summer and in the Caribbean during winter. The charter can cost you up to €70,000 per week.
