Together with the opening of its first boutique in Russia, A. Lange & Söhne has also introduced the Langermatik Perpetual in White Gold.
The model is part of a series of Langematik Perpetual timepieces, the others offered in pink gold and platinum. It comes with a black dial made of solid silver and a 38.5 mm white gold case.
According to A. Lange, the Langematik Perpetual was the world’s first wristwatch with a self-winding movement to incorporate a perpetual calendar with an outsize date. The perpetual calendar displays the date, the day of the week, and the month, recognizing the different number of days in each month, even in leap years. Once correctly set, you only have to worry about correcting the display by one day every one hundred years. The moon-phase display is equally as precise. As long as the watch runs without interruption, it will only deviate from the true position of the moon by one day every 122.6 years.
The A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Perpetual in White Gold comes with a price tag that matches its beauty and complexity, standing at $84,200.
