To celebrate its longstanding partnership with tire manufacturer Pirelli, Lamborghini has created a special edition Aventador, appropriately called the Avendator LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.
The car comes with a two-tone color scheme, which can be one of two options. Firstly, there’s matte black for the roof, the pillars, the side-mirror caps, the engine hood, and the intake surrounds, with one of six glossy colors available for the rest of the body: Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater. Secondly, there’s glossy black for the upper parts of the vehicle, as well as the air intakes, with one of four matte finishes to choose from for the rest of the exterior: Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans.
A red Pirelli logo was placed where the two red roof lines start, and also on the tires (which are P Zeros). On the inside there’s black Alcantara with stitching that matches the exterior detailing, as well as the same stripes which run along the exterior, with the crests of Lamborghini and Pirelli embroidered in them.
The special edition is equipped with the same powerplant as the standard version, namely a 6.5-liter V-12 which outputs 691 horsepower. This allows the vehicle to go from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 217 mph (about 350 km/h).
