Sailing has always been seen as a sort of masculine thing, the activity of explorers, adventurers, or (more recently) multi-millionaires – basically almost males. That’s why even though every ship is referred to as a “she,” most of them are sleek, strong, and aggressive-looking, features usually associated with men. Now, Monaco-based Lidia Bersani Luxury Design studio aims to start chipping away at this stereotype, with the unveiling of a very ambitious, feminine superyacht concept called La Belle.
Even from a distance, you immediately notice there’s something different about this ship. Her exterior features various distinctive patterns which add a decorative touch to the 80-meter superyacht, but even this is nothing compared to what you get inside. The interior is absolutely opulent, boasting gold mosaics, mother-of-pearl, Swarowski crystals, gemstones, onyx, and exquisite wooden furniture, with a color scheme dominated by white, ivory, and gold.
Up to 12 guests can be accommodated in six sumptuous cabins. Other luxurious facilities include a spa area with hydromassage pool, sauna, hammam, infrared sauna, snow room, and ice fountains, a small gym with outdoor Jacuzzi, a library with a fireplace, a disco, and even a cinema. The outside of the vessel features plenty of areas where guests can spend their time lounging, enjoying the sun and the sea breeze. There’s also a helipad, for those who prefer to arrive (and leave) in style!
