Almost 60 years have passed since the passing away of Guccio Gucci, the founder of The House of Gucci, one of the most successful fashion brands in the world. In spite of the unfortunate event, the brand lingers on being led by Gucci’s heirs. One of them, Patricia Gucci, the granddaughter of Guccio and single daughter of Aldo Gucci, renowned Italian designer, has recently listed her own 11,000 square Casa Azzurra, located in Mountain Center, California, a 15 minute drive away from Palm Desert.
Born in London and currently established in Switzerland, Patricia, even though she was once appointed to Gucci’s board, is now putting the bases of her own brand. Inspired by a collection of various experiences and based on a unique perspective, she currently is developing biographical projects. She reasons the listing very simply – she lives too far away from it and can’t really enjoy it. She even stated: “My life and family are in Europe now, and I no longer have time to enjoy this little corner of paradise.”
According to the home’s description, it includes 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, fully-endowed kitchen, movie theater and library. Outside, the property boasts with an extra guesthouse, large kennel, pool, spa and a full-sized tennis court. According to public records, Patricia Gucci has bought the marvelous estate via trust back in 1993, for a meager $950,000.
She has been extending and fitting it with state of the art amenities ever since. The listing can be found at Richard Bartholomew and Jane Dorian of Partners Trust Real Estate in Los Angeles, or at Rancho Mirage.
