Penthouse in Tribeca 01

Here’s a jaw-dropping addition to our Home & Leisure tab – the nice gallery we’ve attached displays a fabulous penthouse, with private backyard, in one of New York’s most exclusive neighborhoods, Lower Manhattan’s Tribeca.

Encompassing a total of 10 rooms, this opulent penthouse is quite a gorgeous place to call home. It includes 4,316 square feet of living space and a whopping 3,037 square feet of private outdoor space from where the residents can admire breathtaking panoramas of the Hudson River. The penthouse has been recently renovated, entirely, and fitted with the ultimate in terms of amenities and luxury. Five of the grandiose rooms are superbly appointed bedrooms, with panoramic, ceiling-high windows and custom built-in storage.

Found the 1860-built Fischer Mills Building, on a cobblestone street, at the corner of Beach Street and Greenwich, this fantastic home is extremely close to state of the art restaurants, shopping venues, schools and the newly renovated Hudson River Park. The exclusive condominium is guarded 24 hours a day by a doorman and sports a roof deck, bike room, private basement storage and live-in superintendent.

The entry foyer is located at the end of the elevator access, greeting everyone with Concordia stone floors and lacquered walls. Every detail is worth mentioning, if only we hadn’t time-related problems, but here are a few – built-in bar, wood storage with marble detailing, custom walnut-paneled walls, windowed French doors leading to the focal point of the residence, wood-burning fireplace with Nublado marble mantle and black granite hearth, while the expansive terraces have been garnished with irrigation systems, Viking grill, planters and top notch lighting and audio systems.

Sharing equally gorgeous views of the river, sunsets and the skyline, there’s a double-height sitting room, accompanied by an informal dining room. As for the fully-endowed kitchen, it sports walnut cabinetry, a massive island with plenty of counter space, concrete counters, two wine fridges and state of the art stainless appliances. Furthermore, in close conjunction with the living room, there are a lavish home office/bedroom, guest wing with bedroom, laundry area and full bathroom, which can be closed off from the rest of the residence. On the opposing side, a 21-foot dining room fitted with strategic lighting can be found, featuring an attached patio which faces eastwards.

As for the master suite, it is a tranquil place, with 5 gorgeous French doors opening from the bedroom onto a large, breathtakingly landscaped terrace facing south. The master bathroom provides a deep-soaking Waterworks tub, Kohler sink and toilet, elegant vanity decked with Calcutta marble mosaic tiling and separate stall shower. The master area is further endowed with a walk-in closet with Concordia flooring, alongside cabinetry and walnut closets with maple interiors. Outwards from the master bedroom we stumble upon a staggering double-height 20-foot vestibule, an ideal place to display your private collection of artworks. In addition, there are three additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms, similarly designed, at the top of a wood-plank spiral glass staircase.

Amenity-wise, I’ll provide you with a quote from the official description: “A high-tech RTI smart home system integrates the audio, motorized shades, light sensors and alarm system to satisfy the most tech-savvy individual. The apartment is wired for Apple TV and connected to various iPads docked in the apartment. View the security cameras from your iPhone while you are away! Multiple-zone central air conditioning and 5-foot-plus wide-plank walnut floors complete the picture. There is a full-sized washer-dryer in the guest wing and a private storage cage is included in the basement.” In case you’re interested, this magnificent penthouse is listed for sale at $14 million.
