Priced at $17k, the Apple Watch Edition is probably the most expensive item ever sold by Apple. But it can only get better and more expensive if the guys from Goldgenie work their magic on it. The renowned customization company wrapped the Apple Watch in solid 18K gold and embedded it with precision cut diamonds to create an uber luxe version of this timepiece.
Goldgenie’s Apple Watch has been dubbed as “Spectrum” and includes several other customization options. The base watch could be either the Stainless Steel version of the Apple Watch or the Gold Edition and future customers could also get unique straps in natural toned python and crocodile skin, beige and black topgrain calf leather or vivid hues of Seville Orange, Fuchsia Pink, Sea Green, Black and Cherry Red.
The Apple Watch will surely change the way we see time and how we handle it and Goldgenie’s versions will change the way we see a luxury watch. The prices start at about $3,000 for the simple, gold plated, stainless steel version and could go up to $163,000 for the full, diamond encrusted Apple Watch. That’s pretty expensive, right?
Apple will start selling their modern watch from the 10th of April and Goldgenie will accept orders for a customized version one day earlier than the official launch.
