Ferrari is celebrating 60 years of business in North America in the best way possible: by releasing a great limited edition sports car.
Dubbed the F60 America, the vehicle is a modified F12berlinetta, powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine. Outputting 730 hp (740 PS), the powerplant is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, a setup which allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a lightning-fast 3.1 seconds. This limited edition Ferrari has had its roof and pillars removed, and comes with a fabric top which has to be removed by hand. The front and rear ends of the F12b have also been modified the front grille is now similar to one on the California T, while the rear diffuser now comes with new central vanes.
On the inside, immediately noticeable is the F60 America’s asymmetric design, as the driver’s area is in red while the passengers` side is back.
This ultra-exclusive limited edition release consists of just 10 units, just as only 10 examples of the 1967 275 GTS4 NART Spider were initially requested for the U.S. by the importer at the time, Luigi Chinetti. Each of these modern masterpieces is priced at a hefty $2.5 million – but, as expected, they’ve all been already sold to wealthy collectors.
