I bet there are a lot of you out there struggling to find a parking spot in a busy city whenever you need to get out of the car to do your tasks. The simplest solution would be to get rid of your car and travel by bus, but this just won’t do for those who choose their car over public transportation.
But there’s a new solution to this problem, proposed by a company from Singapore. The specialists at the real estate developer KOP Properties have thought of an ingenious solution, in the shape of an en-suite sky garage at their Hamilton Scotts development.
What you would need to do is to get your car into a car elevator on the ground floor, input the number of your apartment alongside some biometric identification. What follows is actually a technological wonder – the system shuttles up your vehicle until it reaches your living room, and we’re not joking about this.
We’ve also heard that the CEO of KOP Properties, Leny Suparman, described its Hamilton Scotts project as a world’s first. He unfortunately seems to be a little misinformed, as a similar principle has already been integrated into a luxury condominium – 200 Eleventh Avenue – on the edge of New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood. Two fabled people, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have reportedly bought a unit at the location, to keep out from paparazzi.
And now we get to the financial side of it – the average price for an apartment with 2 parking slots is somewhere around $7,5 million, while the luxurious penthouse unit with a 4-car garage comes at a whopping $24 million.
