There are plenty of great electric motorbikes available on the market, many of them marvelous pieces of design and engineering. But Chop-E, featuring a unique “chopper-style” look, is the kind of thing that instantly wins you over with its youthful charm.

This unique semi-recumbent electric scooter was created by a group of Estonian entrepreneurs and comes with a 1-kW motor in its 20-inch front wheel, which is powered by a rear-mounted 20-Ah 48-volt battery pack consisting of 16 LiFePo4 cells. Its rear wheel consists of an 18-inch alloy rim, clad in a Pirelli Diablo motorcycle tire.

The 6.6 foot (2 meter) -long Chop-E weighs just 140 lbs (63.5 kg) and boasts a range of about 35 miles (56 km) when fully charged, with an adjustable top speed of mph 20 mph (32 km/h).

Like so many other cool projects, Chop-E is currently seeking funding through Kickstarter. You’ll have to pledge $4,499 to make sure you get one, provided the campaign is successful.
