As always, this year’s Baselworld has been the scene of the unveiling of many amazing timepieces. One of them was Chanel’s Décor Camélia Nacré, part of the legendary French brand’s Mademoiselle Privé collection.

This beautiful watch is designed for the ladies and features a mother-of-pearl camellia (Coco Chanel’s favorite flower) on its dial. Making it even more remarkable, the motif is made using mother-of-pearl marquetry, which requires incredibly delicate workmanship, since the material is so fragile. It is located slightly off-center on the 18-carat white gold dial and is surrounded by 330 brilliant-cut diamonds. The 18-carat white gold case is also set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the 18-carat white gold pin buckle on the black satin strap boasts a further 80 brilliant-cut gemstones.

At the heart of the Mademoiselle Privé Décor Camélia Nacré lies a mechanical self-winding movement with hours and minutes functions and a power reserve of 42 hours.
