We’ve presented a couple of weeks ago a teaser of the brand new supercar from Aston Martin, then called the Project AM 310, and today the British supercar maker has officially revealed this four wheel masterpiece. The successor of the famous DBS, the Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish, is just too hot for words but we’ll try to write a bit of info about it.
The car features the next generation VH architecture, with every single body panel crafted from carbon fiber, while the torsional rigidity of the vehicle has been improved by a whopping 25 percent. The regular 6.0-liter top Aston Martin V12 engine has also undergone some extensive enhancement process, now developing 565 HP (421 kW) and 62 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.
The engine co-works with a Touchtronic 2 6-speed automatic gearbox that allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a heart-stopping 4.1 seconds and to reach a maximum speed of 295 km/h (183 mph).
All of this model’s new features, like the elongated side skirts, LED rear light blades and new waist, remind us of the One-77 supercar. Most importantly, the car still has that feel Aston Martin has accustomed us with, a strong character and some sort of quick elegance.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the CEO of Aston Martin, declared: “This is the latest incarnation of everything we know, informed and developed from One-77. It is the ultimate Super Grand Tourer – confident and assured – and is the newest representation of Power, Beauty and Soul.”
The RRP price for this majestic car, which we are deeply in love with, starts at £189,995. Available in 2+2 and 2+0 configurations, the first deliveries will reportedly begin by the end of 2012, in UK and Europe.
