If there’s one Porsche to have had us amazed of recently, it must be the 918 Spyder. Although it still wears the “project” tag, we have now photos of its finalized production body, on a superb track. Enjoy the show!

This car has already taken quite a lot of shapes, starting as conceptual rendering in flat black and Martini Racing livery, and ending up in genuine existence, on track. It is powered by a fantastically developed 4.6-liter V8 engine developing 608 HP and aided by twin electric motors on which the car can do as much as 18 miles. It also comes with an extremely sophisticated 4-wheel-drive system and a stunningly solid and light carbon fiber monocoque chassis.

This Porsche 918 Spyder will reportedly be introduced as a 2015 version and will be in fact a supercar based on the principle of ride efficiency, of minimal fuel consumption. Weighing around 3,616 lbs, it measures 182.8 inches in length, 76.4 inches in width and 45.9 inches in height. It accelerates from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds, 0-124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.9 seconds and 0-186 mph (300 km/h) in 23 seconds, being able to reach a top speed in excess of 211 mph (340 km/h).

There’s even a pretty consistent press release which describes the car in minute details, alongside a large gallery of pictures which present it nicely, from all angles.
