We’ve heard some interesting news – McLaren are poised to present the 2013 MP4-12C on the occasion of the Goodwood Festival of Speed with a one-off MP4-12C driven by the former F1 champion Jenson Button.
The car has been featured on our website around three weeks ago, at the time when we found out about it. As we previously mentioned, it sports a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an output of 616 HP (460 kW) – 25 HP (18 kW) more than the 2012 version. The engine is tied to a 7-speed SSG transmission that will reportedly deliver quicker responses.
There have also been done a few changes to the car’s looks, aside from its performance, like redesigned upholstery, a brand new Volcano Yellow paintjob and redesigned wheels.
On the respective occasion, a one-off MP4-12C GT3 will be introduced by McLaren, a support to the “GREAT”. The aforementioned is a governmental campaign with the purpose to “re-affirm Britain’s international reputation and deliver long-term economic benefits through additional tourism, trade and education.”
