Hennessey Performance has released today the first details and images with their 2011 limited edition HPE700 Camaro Convertible. The high performance Camaro convertible comes with a CarbonAero body kit which consists of a front splitter, a rear diffuser and new side skirts, 20″alloys wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires and a painted hockey stick side strip.
Under the hood the car hides a Corvette ZR1-sourced LS9 engine which was equipped with a cold air induction system, upgraded pulleys and high flow injectors. After these upgrades, the 6.2L V8 engine is able to produce 755 HP an amazing 1,033 Nm of torque, 117 HP and 215 Nm more than the standard 6.2L V8.
The performance figures hasn’t been released yet but we know the coupe version of the HPE700 is able to reach 60 mph from standstill in just 3.3 seconds and it could run the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 130 mph. The chassis was also upgraded with an adjustable coil over suspension, upgraded sway bars and a high performance braking system with 15 inch rotors from Brembo to handle all this power.
The 2011 Hennessey HPE700 Camaro will be produced in a limited run of just 24 units and it will be available as a coupe or convertible.
