We don’t often hear of American manufacturers of luxury luggage like Tumi, but when they come into light, they do it in style. After two painstaking years of research and development, they are presenting the Tegra-Lite Bulletproof Attaché briefcase. Apart from the facts that it is quite expensive, modern and elegant, it also features a hidden compartment and is extremely safe, as its name suggests.

Weighing a stalwart 12 lbs, the briefcase was crafted from no less than 65 layers of Tegris, a polypropylene thermoplastic composite found in the protective gear of soldiers, NFL players’ and Nascar drivers. It was even tested in shooting sessions with .38 special  and .22 long rounds. According to Tumi, the briefcase has no problem in stopping .32 and .25 rounds.

The interior of this bulletproof briefcase has been garnished with plush suede and soft, sleek leathers. The item also boasts with a pocket for an iPad and handcuff ring. Sadly, it will only be manufactured in 28 units, each of them priced at $5,995.
