La Panthère Eau de Parfum, the New Fragrance by Cartier

French luxury brand Cartier is once again turning to the panther, traditionally one of its favorite icons, creating a new fragrance called La Panthère.

Known for a long time for its exquisite jewelry and timepieces, Cartier started making perfumes in the 1980s, with the panther used on some of their first creations. For this occasion, master perfumer Mathilde Laurent used gardenia to begin the scent, following it up with chypre, flower and musk, culminating in a fascinating aroma, which is at the same time feminine and passionate.

The scent comes in a wonderfully crafted bottle shaped like a stylized panther head, its facets glittering in orange and gold. The campaign for La Panthère was shot by Sean Ellis and features the ever ravishing Erin Wasson.

The fragrance comes in 30, 50 and 75ml, and is set to be released on March 15, 2014.
