The luxury Emirates Palace hotel from Abu Dhabi, has unveiled the world’s most expensive Christmas tree, valued at more than $11 million. The fake evergreen tree is 13 metre high and it’s located in the hotel’s lobby being decorated with silver and gold bows, ball shaped ornaments and small white lights.

The million dollar value is due to the necklaces, earings and other jewelry draped over its branches, supplied by Khalifa Khouri, owner of Style Gallery. The general manager of the Emirates Palace declared that the tree itself is about $10,000 but there are 181 diamonds, pearls, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones in it, valued at $11.4-$11.5 million.

The Emirates Palace hotel planned to contact the Guinness book of world records about the tree, which will remain in its location until the end of the year.  In March, this luxurious hotel from the Emirates launched the world’s first gold bar vending machine, covered in 24 carat gold, which dispenses one, five an 10 gram bars as well as one ounce bars of gold.
