iPhones have always been extremely popular, and the brilliant minds at Apple are on top of their game with every new launch. But if there’s one thing they lack, it’s a high-end lens that would take photography with a smartphone to the next level.
That’s exactly why the renowned German company Zeiss has teamed up with Fellowes Brand to design and develop several high-quality lenses for iPhones, which will work as external accessories to deliver those crystal clear images we so desire.
Fellowes Brand’s ExoLens line of lenses now show off optics and designs from Zeiss, with three new lenses being introduced at CES 2016. With black anodized aluminum bodies and anti-reflecting coatings, these lenses promise to meet the highest aesthetic standards.
First introduced on the iPhone 6, the 6 Plus, the 6S and the 6S Plus models, the new Zeiss lenses will soon be available for other high-end smartphones, as well. The ExoLens lineup includes a macro lens that sports a zoom feature, a telephoto lens as well as a wide-angle lens.
Furthermore, a 1/4”-20 standard tripod mount and a cold shoe for the new iPhone models will be on offer as well. The macro and wide-angle will be sold as a package, for $300, while the telephoto lens will sell separately for $199.
These lenses are expected to bring premium photography to mobile devices starting in the second quarter of 2016.
