Executive Skeleton Tourbillon

Ulysse Nardin has always managed to surprise us with bold designs, and from a technical point of view their projects have always been impressive – take the Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon, for instance. Their latest timepiece features a sporty skeleton tourbillon, that’s super lightweight and widely opened so we could admire all its inner workings.

The watchmakers from Ulysse Nardin blended a modern design with the traditional codes of watchmaking for this new exquisite timepiece, which comes with a light 45 mm titanium case, featuring bulky lugs and a black ceramic bezel, with a brushed surface, that’s complemented by a leather strap with carbon structure.

There’s no dial to be seen on the Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon, something that we usually love about most mechanical watches, but we totally like this decision, with the transparent dial allowing us to get a glimpse of the incredible movement on this timepiece.

Showing off a very impressive 170-hour power reserve, the tourbillon beats at 2.5Hz (18,000bph) and comprises a balance spring and an escapement wheel made in silicon. In case you don’t know this yet, Ulysse Nardin was the first watchmaker to come up with a watch featuring silicon technology, so this is no surprise.

If you like what you see, you should know the Ulysse Nardin tourbillon is priced at CHF 38,000 – which is quite a bargain in our books, considering what you’re getting for the money.
