UltraLuxum’s CXL trimaran has a garage for your McLaren MP4

It’s one thing to top your collection with a superb yacht, which few have the occasion to brag with, and it’s an exponentially different story when that yacht hosts a McLaren MP4-12C inside its bellows. The car alone is one of our favorites, and the yacht it comes in is simply an optional, if you ask us.

It’s not only that you’ll benefit from one of the best means of safety, but the car, teamed with the largest sailing trimaran in the world, is quite a package. Reportedly named the CXL trimaran concept, its garage can strictly fit the McLaren MP4-12C, which was carefully designed for it.

UltraLuxum state that this is the largest sailing trimaran in the world, featuring retractable outer hulls designed by McLaren Applied Technologies. When unfolded, they can increase the yacht’s width to a staggering 75 feet, for an additional degree of stability and safety, way more than the ones provided by mono-hulls of similar sizes.

There’s a big problem with the trimaran’s footprints, which can prove to be quite some challenges to smaller ports or marinas. The retractable hulls lower the vessel’s beam width though, to 36 feet, a lot easier to handle than its maximum size.

Going to be crafted from vacuum-infused epoxy, the Bluewater Yachting will take care of the marketing of this Tamsen Maritim and CXL manufacture and design. If you want to take a glimpse of this stunning concept, get to the Monaco Yacht Show at Quai Chicane, berth QC18 and be amazed. Here’s a collection of computer-made images.
