The name of the reputable actor and motor enthusiast Steve McQueen will be put on the latest Triumph project. Based on the Triumph TR6 he rode in the 1963 Great Escape movie, about the World War II, which helped him escape the Nazis in Germany’s countryside.
Enthusiastic about doing his own stunts, he made an unlikely jump over a barbed wire fence with his motorcycle, in the movie. Also known is the fact that McQueen was a Triumph motorcycle addict, riding his Triumph Bonneville around and in Los Angeles. The Triumph Steve McQueen Edition Motorcycle is crafted with a high amount of influence from the 1963 bike, and it’s based on the Triumph Bonneville T100.
Some nice features are McQueen’s licensed signature on the side of the bike, a Triumph logo on the tank and the typical military-like khaki-green paint. Starting the 8th of November, the first of the 1100 planned motorcycles will be put on sale for all the riding enthusiasts.
