In case you’re wondering which is the fastest Nissan GT-R in the world, this might be the answer. The so-called ‘Switzer R1K-X GT-R Red Katana’, developed by the guys at Switzer Performance, is a 1,400 HP beast that can do the quarter mile in 8.97 seconds, which is beyond breathtaking considering that are very, very few cars in the world which could do it in below 9 seconds.
This heavily customized Nissan GT-R features a new aerodynamic body kit which includes a new front splitter and a rear decklid spoiler, among others. Under the hood it ‘hides’ a massive Switzer built and blueprinted VR38 Nissan engine which was tweaked to the max with reinforced rods and pistons, a Monster intercooler system, PKG cooling, new camshafts, a SS90 exhaust and a Syvecs standalone ECU tuned by Switzer.
Apparently this stunning Nissan GT-R could be even faster but the owner of the car didn’t want to lose comfort for speed. Inside the cockpit it features a lot of extra goodies that apparently make the Red Katana 136 kg (300 lbs) heavier than the standard model, things like a premium sound system, an Alcantara and leather trim throughout the car and many other upgrades. Still, even though it’s heavier than the normal GT-R, it’s a loot faster.
