Super Yacht A

Sailing is an incredible experience: peaceful and majestic, riding the waves on a lovely sailing yacht is one of the most exciting things you could do. And if you’re also willing to spend a large sum of money on the perfect sailing yacht, things might get a lot more interesting.

For instance, Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko has reportedly spent $450 million on his new yacht, called the Super Yacht A – a jaw dropping sailing yacht that’s apparently the most advanced of its kind in the world.

Boasting three masts, the 468-feet long yacht makes other vessels look like little imps by comparison. Super Yacht A shows off 8 decks, while the keel sports the largest single piece of curved glass, measuring a whopping 193 square feet.

Those attention-grabbing three masts on the yacht measure 328 feet each, making this vessel stand out even when it’s compared to the world’s largest superyachts. The yacht can easily accommodate 54 crew members, while a high-tech digital control system will keep it on course with two diesel engines and two electric motors that will make sure the passengers get to their destination of choice.

The Sailing Yacht A will be delivered in 2016 when Andrey Melnichenko will probably show that money can buy happiness. Or at least the world’s most exceptional sailing yacht.
