What you see in these photos is a thing of beauty. The enthusiasts of fashion, style and elegance will want to desperately acquire such a masterpiece. It is the Hermés Leica M9-P Edition, an uber stylish camera, which was recently launched on the market by the guys form Leica.
The manufacturer will be offering two different sorts of cameras as limited editions: the M9-P Edition Hermés and the M9-P Edition Hermés – Série Limitée Jean-Louis Dumas. The most stunning feature of these cameras is Hermés’ signature, the use of ochre Vreau Swift calfskin leather, which sets them apart from all other digital cameras manufacturers. The gadgets have been crafted and finished in close collaboration with the august French house.
They’ve used the same brownish leather for the shoulder strap that comes with the camera. And don’t think the camera doesn’t have strong roots – the superb silver-chromed body was designed by the renowned automotive designer Walter de’Silva, enhancing the exquisiteness of the camera by imprinting a series of consecutive numbers that prove this is a limited edition.
The packages also include a silver-anodized Leica Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH. lens, a fashionable hand-finish Hermés camera bag – these come as something new, as they’re the first ever Leica camera bags manufactured by Hermés -, and a collection of 200 black-and-white photos that were shot by Jean-Louis Dumas using his very own Leica M.
Out of the 300 units that are going to be manufactured, just 100 pieces of the Edition Hermés – Série Limitée Jean-Louis Dumas are going to be placed on the market. They come with three lenses: a Leica APO-Summicron-M 90 mm f/ 2 ASPH., a Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm f/0.95 ASPH. and a Leica Summicron-M 28 mm f/ 2 ASPH.
