Would you consider paying $12,500 for a road bike? I wouldn’t, although Specialized’s new, jaw dropping, road bike will set you back just that much. Dubbed as the S-Works Venge ViAS, the new bicycle from Specialized is more than just a simple bike – it’s actually being revered as the fastest road bike ever.
This means that breaking records on this incredible piece of engineering has never been easier; that also goes for breaking a sweat. The bike was unveiled just a couple of days before the 2015 edition of the Tour de France kicks off so, if you’re a fan of competitive cycling, this could be perfect for you.
According to Specialized, the S-Works Venge ViAS features an incredibly stiff body, made entirely out of carbon fiber with perfect aerodynamics that will translate into a 5 minutes time-save over a distance of 25 miles. The new bike also features a Rider-First Engineered frame, not to mention the fastest wheels Specialized has ever developed, the ultra light Roval CLX 64s.
After over 1000 hours of grueling testing, several prototype stages and a lot of tweaks, this marvelous bike was finally turned into reality and it could be yours for just $12,500.
