The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco has made everyone in the wine world rejoice with their latest ‘attraction’: a new luxury tasting lounge. With the help of winemaker Jean-Charles Boisset, the JCB Tasting Lounge allows guests to enjoy a stylish location, where an utter state of relaxation is easily achievable while sipping on some good wine and tasting some appetizers from the Parallel 37 restaurant.
The city of San Francisco is well known for its wine culture, which is why visitors are encouraged to explore its culture and incredible sights. If none of that shall excite you, Jean-Charles Boisset invites you to discover the bounty of California’s wine country with this unique experience that might even beat walking around town.
The design of this glamorous lounge kept in sync with the hotel’s sophisticated take on the Bay Area’s style, showing off a rich purple and gold theme, with cheetah print carpets and accent pillows, fringed padded stool tops, curtain paneled walls, as well as chandelier scones.
Parallel 37’s Chef de Cuisine Michael Rotondo welcomes visitors with dishes such as Crispy Liberty Farm Duck Fritter, with Kumquat Relish, or desserts the likes of Nectarine and White Chocolate Bon Bons, with Apricot and Chamomile. Sounds delicious!
All of this complements that extended wine list in an incredible manner, but please note that this is not just a place to drink wine. The JCB Tasting Lounge will also impress with a couture fashion boutique, designed by Boisset and Joshua Rowland Interiors, Inc.
Here, you may enjoy various goodies, including custom-designed jewelry, perfumes, as well as Baccarat, Christofle, Bernardaud and Goyard samples. Please note that you may also reserve the lounge for private events: 14 people will be enjoying total access to an eight-person table, four-person bar and the two banquets. Party on!
