Textron Aviation has taken everyone by surprise last week, at the Oshkosh Air Show, by unveiling the new Cessna Denali, a single engine turboprop designed to be a future leader of the high-performance market. Engineered to achieve cruise speeds of 285 knots, this small plane will carry around 1,100 pounds of fuel, allowing it to boast an impressive range of 1,600 nautical miles, while cruising at high speeds.
One pilot and four passengers will be able to enjoy a non-stop flight from Los Angeles to Chicago, New York to Miami, or London to Moscow aboard this beauty, with the Cessna Denali featuring a spacious flat floor cabin that’s capable to accommodate both passengers and cargo.
According to Textron Aviation, this new Cessna is ready to hit the skies for the very first time in 2018, and it may interest you to know that letters of intent are being accepted.
The Cessna Denali has been specifically designed to balance great handling characteristics with the capabilities of a high performance turboprop, while also offering the exclusivity of owning the best product in its segment.
The plane will be Powered by GE’s new, advanced FADEC-equipped, 1,240 shaft horse power (SHP)-rated turboprop engine, that’s complemented by McCauley’s new 105-inch diameter composite, 5-blade, constant speed propeller, which helps the Denali to offer smooth and comfortable flights to anyone wealthy enough to afford it.
The pilot will be keeping you safe thanks to the Garmin G3000 intuitive touchscreen avionics suite, including high-resolution multi-function displays and split-screen capability, that will help him (or her) keep an eye on every feature the plane comes with.
That list comprises, but is not limited to, weather radar, advanced Terrain Awareness Warning Systems (TAWS), and automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) capabilities.
