Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury

SIHH 2016 marked the introduction of the dazzling hot Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury, meant to make ladies everywhere breath heavily and wish upon a star.

With an impressive 4,635 brilliant-cut diamonds in the case and bracelet, joined by another 206 brilliant cut diamonds on the dial alone, this piece will definitely haunt any woman’s dreams from now on.

Featuring a sharp angular design, this beautiful watch took 1,500 hours to design, engineer and build and if we’d translate that into days, it means more than 62 days.

The Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury strays away from the path of traditional women’s jewelry watches, meant to be subtle and delicate. The watch features a hidden “suicide hinge”, where one of the spikes unhinges with a push to open upwards, revealing the pave-encrusted two-hand diamond watch dial.

The 40 mm piece features a slim Calibre 2601 quartz movement, with the hands made from “blackened gold”. Based on last year’s very popular 2015 Diamond Punk, the Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury boasts a fluid design, reminiscent of a gem-studded armored reptile.

This unusual design was no doubt difficult to achieve, but adds to the sophistication of this ravishing piece. Struck in 18K white gold and featuring a streamlined 1.8 mm thick case, the Diamond Fury is the black-tie statement ladies everywhere were waiting on.

They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, which means this watch is sure to make the cut. The new Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury comes in two versions, specifically full diamond pave which costs $637,800 and a diamond/onyx combination priced at $568,300. Which one is your flavor?
