Bulgari’s Sapphire Tourbillon is nothing new – it’s been around for a lot of years and it has been released in several wonderful limited edition versions, but the new Bulgari Tourbillon Saphir Ultranero is the best of all! Unveiled at Baselworld 2015, this beautiful timepiece gives new meaning to shedding light on the tourbillon.
It’s what Bulgari calls “Transparent Black Sapphire Magic” and it makes this watch stand out in the most awesome way possible. This unique look comes from Super-LumiNova, a highly luminescent substance that’s inserted into the central part of the case to act as hour markers.
The vivid green color is even more striking against a backdrop that consists solely of deep black and transparency. The hour and minute hands of this special timepiece are also skeletonized, with luminous arrow tips that make this watch pretty easy to read.
The Saphir Ultranero also comes in DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated titanium case, which is adorned with screws holding the structure and sapphire crystal that’s secured on the outer face of the case. The barrel drum and tourbillon carriage bridge are also skeletonized to keep this watch as transparent as possible!
Only 30 pieces of the Bulgari Tourbillon Saphir Ultranero will be produced, each of them priced at an astonishing $210,000.
