The Abu Dhabi police fleet has been already impressive, if not outrageous. But, to make matters even more extraordinary, the police fleet has recently taken delivery of a limited-run Lykan Hypersport. It seems like child’s play for the police authorities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to compete in a grown-up version of “who’s got the coolest toys”, but we do not mind.
In an effort to win the title of most impressive police fleet in the world, UAE’s capital has now acquired the mind blowing Lykan Hypersport. One of seven units ever made, this police supercar costs around $3.4 million, pocket money for some of the city’s inhabitants.
Most of you might remember that this supercar was recently featured in Furious 7, where it showcased its diamond-coated LED headlights. But, if you don’t and have no clue about the vehicle, here are some facts.
The Lykan Hypersport was built by W Motors and it’s powered by a RUF-developed twin-turbo, flat-six 3.7-liter engine good for around 770 PS (566 kW) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque. The engine was mated to a 6-speed sequential transmission, allowing for a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) time of just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 245 mph (395 km/h).
