Frank Laupman of Omega Yachts designed the exterior of this magnificent jewel called Ventura, a 50-meter long sailing beauty crafted by Heesen Yachts mainly from aluminium. It is the third in the 50-meter class and shares the same blood with the YN 15850 and the multi-award winning M/Y Satori.
The layout of the Ventura superyacht though is rather different than its sister vessels. The owners of this superb cruiser have opted for two suites, a practical passage cabin fore, on the main deck, and a romantic suite, with panoramic 280-degree views, on the bridge deck aft.
In addition, the same owners have chosen a dark metallic grey as the main tone for the hull and a light metallic grey for the superstructure. Due to this stunning combination of tones, the Ventura looks pretty much different and very exquisite. It is able to accommodate up to 12 guests throughout its 6 cabins – two master suites and a full-beam VIP cabin on the lower deck in addition to two double cabins and a twin.
The interior décor is sophisticatedly minimalistic and staggering to the eye, thanks to acclaimed Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski. There’s a gorgeous contrast throughout the interiors between the whitened oak paneling and the richly patterned polished ebony parquet flooring. A huge amount of attention was paid to the controlled ambient lighting – it allows every place aboard the Ventura to be adapted according to everyone’s mood and the atmosphere. Furthermore, the artist has taken his time to create focal points and niches to house the owner’s sculptures and artworks, which is a rather superb idea if you ask me.
Francesco Paszkowski himself describes: “I’m extremely proud to work with such an important and efficient shipyard I was honored to work with a long time ago. I’m also very happy to hand over the Italian design and the experience of our team abroad, for the excellent relationship established with the shipyard and the ideas we could share. Though we’ve always been keeping in touch since 1996, when we designed the first project of Heesen, the interior design of this 50m yacht looks very much like a dream I could achieve: feeling part of the Dutch group.”
As for the outer areas of the Ventura, they provide a gorgeous lifestyle to every guest aboard. The sundeck spans for a huge 70 square meters and has been designed as a lavish open-plan space where loose furniture can be easily removed in order to convert the deck into a large party plaza. There are three additional outdoor areas on the Ventura including dining spots on the bridge deck aft and main deck. As for the availability, it will reportedly be delivered to its owners after sea trials in the North Sea.
