2017 Polaris Slingshot

Even though this thing rides on only three wheels, the Polaris Slingshot delivers a massive dose of fun and high speed thrills like no other vehicle. With every year that went by, Polaris made this three wheeler better and better and the recently launched 2017 is more insane than ever, featuring a new top-spec SLR trim, with an optional removable roof that’s also part of the offer.

Easy to spot, the 2017 Polaris Slingshot SLR shows off a superb two-tone paint scheme, with black accents complementing either an Orange Madness or a Turbo Silver body.

The range-topping version also brags about composite brake rotors and a 305-millimeter wide rear tire, while the cabin boasts LED lighting and various Sparco badges on the aluminum shift knob, pedal covers, and steering wheel. Starting this August, the SLR can be yours for just $28,499.

The 2017 Polaris Slingshot SL also features minor upgrades, such as two new colors – Sunset Red and Black Pearl. This trike will also include a wind deflector, new accent hood graphics, cut-and-sew fabric seats, and Rockford Fosgate speakers as standard equipment. Pricing starts off at $25,499, with the basic Slingshot will set you back $21,999.

The 2017 Polaris Slingshot still uses a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, capable of developing 173 ponies, which power up the rear wheel through a five-speed manual gearbox. These trikes could also come with a new Slingshade, keeping passengers protected from the UV rays, if the owners are willing to pay an extra $2,999.99 for it.

Available in either red or black, the Slingshade does just what its name says, it’s basically a shade for your slingshot, as the driver and passenger will still be exposed to the elements.
