Bentley has officially introduced the 2017 Mulsanne lineup, which now includes a new Extended Wheelbase model and several interesting upgrades. The front fascia of the new Mulsanne now features a more modern approach, with a polished stainless steel wider grille, with vertical vanes, and rounded double headlights which seem to add a bit more charm to the luxury sedan.
The lower grilles also feature a chrome finish, available on the B-shaped vents installed on the front fenders as well. The “B” theme seems to have made its way onto the taillights as well, making for a strike back side to complete the new, refreshed look of this luxurious vehicle.
On the inside, the new Bentley Mulsanne looks as luxurious as ever, with 24 shades of leather on offer, complemented by a wide variety of stitching options, 13 veneers, a piano black trim, and even stone finishes. The eight-inch touchscreen, updated infotainment system and 60 GB of storage will surely please future owners of this beauty.
Connectivity will also be part of the entertainment, as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support work together, while a powerful 2,200-watt sound system including 20 speakers will get you moving. At the back, dual 10.2-inch removable tablets running on Android and front-facing cameras will add to the magic that is this Bentley.
The powerful Mulsanne Speed version now benefits from a recalibrated gearbox, featuring an S Mode, while the steering and suspension have been also improved. Active engine mounts and revised suspension bushings, along with new Dunlop tires featuring foam-filled cavities also add to the overall smooth and luxurious ride.
The new Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase model shows off 10 inches (250 mm) of extra legroom at the back, not to mention reclining seats. Bentley customers may also request rear folding tables, a different rear center console and a bigger sunroof.
The standard equipment for the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne includes a bi-turbo 6.75-liter V8 engine which is able to produce 505 hp (377 kilowatts) and 752 pound-feet (1,020 Nm) of torque. The Mulsanne Speed features the same engine, this time developing 530 hp (395 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm).
An eight-speed ZF automatic transmission is what engineers decided to connect the engines to. Please note that the refreshed Mulsanne family will show up at Geneva, alongside the new Flying Spur V8 S.
